Clifford J. Rader, 76, of 132 South East St., Galion, unexpectedly died at home Thursday, March 17, 2011.
Mr. Rader was born in Crestline on February 18, 1935 to the late Freddie and Mary (Kleilein) Rader.
Clifford retired from Mansfield Flooring and Paving as a laborer, he also was a former owner of the Texaco station in Crestline. Clifford was a member of the Galion Community YMCA and enjoyed spending time with friends at the Galion McDonalds.
He is survived by three sons: Greg Rader of Galion, Clifford Scott and Trish Rader of Bowie, MD, and Cliffy McCoy of Buchanan, West Virginia: two daughters, Connie and Jerry Stratton of Crestline, Kelly and Jim Teafatiller of Irving TX: nine grandchildren, Nathan Rader of Galion, Jerry and Stephanie Stratton Jr. of Crestline, Phillip and Fiancé Vickie Brooks Stratton of Summerville, SC, Shawn Stratton of Crestline, Emily Rader and Steven Rader both of Bowie, MD, Ari and Don Russell of Texas and nine great grand children: one brother, Calvin and Janet Rader of Wilcox, Arizona: three sisters, Dorothy and Gary Balliett of Mansfield, Norma and Arvin Shifley of Mansfield, Beverly and Joe Dowell of Crestline.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jamie White, two brothers Delvin and Glenn Rader and Sister Velma Rader.
Friends may call Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline. Burial will follow in Ontario Cemetery, Ontario.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Galion Community Center YMCA in care of the funeral home.
