Obituary

Jeffery M. McKay, 42, of Crestline, lost his battle with addiction on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at his home.

Jeffery was born in Fredericksburg, VA on February 8, 1976 to his father, Arthur "Mick” W. McKay and Chris Morey of Crestline, and his mother, Deborah (Christini) McKay of Crestline who survive him.

Jeffery worked as a powerline foreman which he thoroughly enjoyed, until a powerline accident prevented him from continuing to work. He enjoyed the outdoors and riding his Harley. Aside from his family, Jeff’s passion was building and working on motorcycles. Jeff was a good and loving father who adored spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings: Melissa (Rich) May, Crestline, Philip (Andy) Nokovich, Bloomville, Sean (Heather) McKay, Norwalk, and Tracy (Jody) Carter; beloved children: daughter, Aleksei Butler, of Lexington, his sons; Dylan and Kallen McKay, both of Olive Hill, KY, his two granddaughters; Kendall and Willow Hales of Lexington, as well as many nieces and nephews; his Aunt Terri Rieman, Crestline, Uncle Mick Christini, Galion, Aunt Pam Ellsworth, Maryland, Kevin McKay, South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Luella McKay, Vince and Naomi Christini, and his uncle Michael “Mick” Christini.

Private services for the family will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Crestline with Pastor Diana Seaman officiating.

The Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline is honored to serve the family of Jeffery M. McKay.
