Alan L. Toth, 79, of Crestline, passed away at Ohio Health, Mansfield, on April 26, 2019 after a brief illness with cancer.
Alan was born in Cleveland, OH on September 15, 1939 to the late Steven and Florence (Vejdovec) Toth.
Alan was of the Lutheran faith. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Alan worked for AT&T, North Electric, United Telephone, RCA, Sprint then became a Title Examiner. He was proud of his family. Alan was a race car enthusiast. He rescued dogs and saved huskies, and was a hard worker. Alan was a member of the Venus, Lodge #152 F&AM, Masonic Lodge, Mansfield and a Lifetime Member of the Amvets #26, Mansfield.
Alan is survived by Bonnie M. (Lyons)-Hoffman-Toth, his partner in life for 37 years; son, Steven (Valorie) Toth, Ontario; daughter, Tamara (Eric Acker) Fisher, Canal Winchester; grandchildren, Aaron Fisher; Lauren Fisher; Kristine (Nick) Giovanoli, Steven Toth, and Emily Toth; and brother, Wade Toth of Wilmington, NC.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main Street, Crestline. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 10, 2019 at the funeral home with Pastor Diana Seaman officiating. A Masonic Service will be observed. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Marine Corps and the Galion/Crestline Veteran's Military Funeral Detail.
