Brian Dale Byers

Brian D. Byers, 35, passed away on April 8, 2019 in Trussville, Alabama.

Brian was born on the Clark Air Force Base in the Philippians on July 30, 1983 to Robert D. Sr. and Norma L. (Gulaba) Byers.

Brian was a graduate of Northmor High School, Class of 2001. He was a sports fanatic while in school where he played Baseball, Basketball, Golf, and Wrestled for the Knights. Brian previously worked at Custom Power Services in Mt. Gilead as a cable installer. He had lived most of his life in Galion before recently moving to Alabama. Brian was an 8 year veteran of the United States Army where he served 2 tours of duty in the Iraq Wars. Brian continued in his adult life an avid sports fan and was very athletic. He loved to root on his favorite team The Ohio State Buckeyes. Brian's family meant the world to him, and he would do anything he could to help them out. His pride and joy were his children as well as his nieces and nephews, and he loved to spend time with them.

In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by his children, Layla Byers, Savannah Byers, Blake Byers; his grandparents, Glenn and Laura Byers; his brother, Roberts Byers, Jr.; his sister, Roxann Walker; nephew, Owen Walker; niece, Annabella Walker; his aunt, Carrie Archer; his uncles, Stephen Byers and Mike Byers and their families; as well as several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends may call on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 11:00 am — 1:00 pm at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Iberia Cemetery, with full military honors conducted by the U.S. Army and the Crestline/Galion Veteran's Funeral Burial Detail.
