Carlos D. Dowell

Carlos G. Dowell, 67, of Crestline, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Galion Community Hospital.

Carlos was born in Williamson, West Virginia on October 31, 1951 to Carlos Eugene and Hazel June (Bowen) Dowell, who both preceded him in death.

Carlos attended school in Crestline and graduated from Crestline High School in 1969.  He served in the United States Air Force.  Carlos worked for many years at Swan Rubber Company.  He was a member of Faith Community Church of Crestline.  Carlos had many interests such as gardening, fishing, and just being outdoors.  He also loved sports and always loved to root on his favorite team "Ohio State".

He is survived by his three sisters, Carolyn (Bryce) Wells, Dianna (Mike) Stumpf, Barbara (Steve) Church; and two brothers, Richard Dowell and Dan Dowell.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Michael Dowell.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Faith Community Church, 327 E. Main Street,Crestline with Pastor Bill Fox officiating.
