John Michael Lehman, age 68, of Galion entered the Gates of Heaven Sunday Dec. 15, 2019 at Signature Healthcare. He was born June 23, 1951 in Crestline to the late John H. and Betty M. (Post) Lehman.
John was a 1969 graduate of Galion High School and had worked as a machinist. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, Ebaying, singing and playing the conga drums, and had been, during his high school years the lead singer of Coventry Council. He had been a coach and had refereed basketball games. John had been a longtime member of the Galion Nazarene Church where he played in the praise band for many years and was most recently attending Storyside Church in Belleville. His greatest love was his family and grandchildren and enjoyed going to all of his grandchildren’s sporting events.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dreama (Jones) Lehman ; Children, Bryce (Janelle) Lehman, Brock Lehman, and Brooke (Chad) Speck all of Galion; grandchildren, Jared Lehman, Meagan (Austin) Johnson, Kennedy Speck, Kaisey Speck, Ian Lehman, Ella Lehman, Makenzie Lehman; great-grandchild, Liam Lehman; and sister, Nancy Johnson of Galion.
Friends may call on Tuesday Dec. 17, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North in Galion. John’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00AM in the Funeral Home with close friend and Pastor Rick McCartney officiating.
