Paul E. Byrd

Paul E. Byrd, 71, of Galion, died Sunday, December 9, 2018 at his home after a short illness.

Paul was born in Marion, on August 29, 1947 to the late James and Ida (Austin) Byrd. He married Karen S. Fox on August 6,1977 and she survives him.

He was employed by Longview Steel as a Foreman before his retirement in 2009. Paul enjoyed camping. Paul greatest love was spending time with his, wife, children, grand-children and he enjoyed making people laugh.

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his children, Ronda (Rick) Feeman, Crestline, Robin Humphrey and Joe, Mansfield, Mark Byrd, Marion, Matt Byrd, Marion and Benjamin Byrd and Stacy, Galion; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Trent), Justin (finance' Ashton), Andrew (Natichia), Jonathan (Brittney), David (Jena), Trinity, Tiara, Christopher, Katlyn and Regin: his great grandchildren, Aleah, Drew, Myles, Jaelyn, Dalis, Dalton, Dominic, and Jacob. Paul is also survived by his siblings, Judy (Bob) Griffith, Marion, John (Connie) Byrd, Marion, and his brother-in-law, Randy Fox (David Faccenda), Caledonia: nephews, Jerry Lester and Daniel Byrd; Mother-in-law, Lanella Murray, Marion.

In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by numerous brothers and sisters

Friends may call Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Galion. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday at Schneider Gompf Funeral Home, with Pastor John Waterhouse officiating.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the Funeral Home.
