Robert “Bob” L. Miller, 86, passed away at Arbors at Mifflin Nursing Home, Mansfield on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.
Bob was born in Green Camp, Ohio on January 8, 1933 to the late Victor L. and Inez M. (Kindell) Miller.
Bob was a graduate of Crestline High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. Bob was a Barber and worked with his father Vic at Miller’s Barber Shop, Crestline for over 40 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 488, Crestline, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #859, Crestline and the VFW Post 2920, Crestline. Bob loved fishing and hunting and his favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees.
Bob is survived by his son, Michael (Pamela) Miller, Lewis Center; and his brother George “Dick” Miller, Crestline.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a very close friend, Jane Barker.
Friends may call on Monday, March 18, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main Street, Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Diana Seaman officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline where full military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Marines and the Crestline/Galion Veteran’s Military Funeral Detail.
