Ruth Frances (Rouse) Barker

Ruth F. Barker, 91, formerly of Crestline passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at Magnolia Terrace, Galion.

Ruth was born in Beloit, Ohio on August 27, 1927, to the late George Rouse and Ruth (Goon) Evans. She married William E. Barker, and he preceded her in death on April 6, 1981.

Ruth worked as a lunch room attendant at the Crestline City Schools. Ruth spent most of her life as a homemaker where she loved taking care of her family. Once the family grew into many grandchildren, she loved spending time spoiling each of them as well as baking their favorite cookies. Ruth also enjoyed reading and playing BINGO.

Ruth is survived by her children, Richard Barker of Mansfield, James (Jayne) Barker of Ontario, Robert (Fran) Barker of Galion, and Judy (Ron) Busler of Galion; 14 Grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandson.

Ruth was preceded in death by her sons, Donald E. "Doc" Barker, Jerry Barker, and Danny Barker; her daughter, Connie Jacobs; four sisters; one brother; and one infant daughter.

Friends may call on Friday, May 3, 2019, from 11:00 am — 1:00 pm at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main Street, Crestline. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 3, 2019, at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Crestline, Ohio with Deacon Greg Kirk officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens.
