Alma Marie (Jones) Mounts

Alma Marie Mounts, 67, of Lexington, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025, at Galion Avita Hospital. Alma was born on March 11, 1958, in Greenville, MI, to the late Donald and Alma (Conley) Jones, Sr.

A proud graduate of Mt. Gilead High School, class of 1976, Alma pursued her passion for learning and earned two associate degrees in accounting and insurance from Marion Technical College. Her hardworking spirit and commitment to excellence led her to establish Platinum Insurance in Galion, where she dedicated over a decade to helping others navigate the complexities of insurance.

Alma married the love of her life Royce Mounts, who survived her, they spent 49 wonderful years together.

Alma was not only a remarkable professional but also a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Alma embraced life with joy, relishing family gatherings, summer cookouts, and the thrill of fireworks lighting up the night sky. A true Elvis fan, she found joy in his music, often filling her home with the sounds that lifted her spirits. She looked forward to holidays and county fairs, creating memories that brought her family together.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Royce Mounts, children Kenny Mounts, of Marion, Linda Hernandez, of Lexington, Jackie (Dennis Howard) Terry, of Attica, grandchildren, Mike (Caiti Yeater) French, Chaylse (Kenny) Gayheart, Mason Terry, Alex Terry, Chance Mounts, great-grandmother to Harlynn and Sawyer French, siblings, Donald (Sherry) Jones, Jr., Jean (Gene) Brady, and Ann Bryant.

Friends may call on Tuesday June 10, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Gompf Funeral Service, Galion Chapel, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. Services will immediately follow at 6:00 pm.
