Antonio Miguel Giampietro

Antonio Miguel Giampietro, 71, of Galion passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020.

Antonio was born in Crestline, OH on March 23, 1948, to the late Consiglio A. Giampietro and Paola M. (Ferri) Giampietro.

Antonio worked on the railroad where he retired as a conductor for the Penn-Central, & Conrail. He graduated from Crestline High School in 1966. Antonio was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Crestline. He was also a member of the United Transportation Union, board member of the Mansfield-Richland County and Crestline area chambers of commerce. He was a representative and Agent of the American Federation of Musicians. Antonio was always a hard worker. He loved music, his family, and his friends. Antonio had a great sense of humor and enjoyed talking and getting to know people.

Antonio is survived by his daughters, Gina (Alan) Giampietro-Ehlers of Granville, Ohio, Lisa (Gregory) Giampietro-Rhodes of Loveland, Ohio; his grandchildren, Courtney DelGreco, Kaitlyn Rhodes, Alyssa Ehlers, Hannah Ehlers, Sophia Ehlers; Remy Rhodes; his great-grandchildren, Bailey DelGreco, Carson DelGreco, Kolton Carroll; his sister, Elisa (Angelo) Norscia of Lincoln Park, Michigan; his nephew, Michael (Cindy) Norscia of Southgate, Michigan; his great-niece, Serena Norscia; his great-nephew Michael Norscia.

Friends may call on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 10:30 AM - 11:30 PM at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 W. Main St., Crestline. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Crestline, with Father Chris Bohnsack, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Crestline.
