Bernice Claire Pugh, 87, Galion, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in the Avita Health System, Galion.
Bernice was born in Portage, on November 13, 1934, to the late George and Hilda (Depenbrock) Tyson. She married Robert Pugh and he preceded her in death.
Bernice graduated from Johnsville High School. She was an active member of the St. Johns Lutheran Church in North Woodbury. Bernice was a dedicated and long-time employee of PECO II. She enjoyed baking, canning and was famous for her homemade bread. You would often find Bernice outdoors tending to her flower gardens, or fishing with her dad and son. She also enjoyed travelling, especially to the Virgin Islands. Bernice cherished her time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother.
Bernice is survived by her three daughters; Janet (Don Proctor) Cramer, Lexington; Carol Cramer-Burke, Mansfield; Gayle Cramer, Galion; her son, Kenneth (Lynne Richards) Cramer, Lexington; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by her siblings; Kenneth Tyson, Dale Tyson, John Tyson, Fred Tyson, Virginia Whitacre, Richard Surman, Willis Surman, Kermit Surman and the father of her children, Thomas Cramer.
Friends may call on Sunday, January 2, 2022, from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Galion, 303 Portland Way North, Galion with Pastor Ash Welch officiating. Private burial will take place at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Wayne, Ohio.
