Brenda Noreen (Talbott) Staton, a beloved daughter, mother, and grandmother. Brenda, 72, of Galion, was reunited with her dear husband on February 2, 2024.
Born on May 16, 1951, in Columbus to the late Hershell Talbott and Betty (Hiles) Gragg who survives in Clarkesville, GA. On January 24, 1970, she would marry her first and only love, Gary Staton, Sr., and he would precede her in death on October 24, 2016.
Brenda brought joy and laughter to everyone she encountered throughout her life. She was a passionate and devoted sports fan, with an unwavering loyalty to the Ohio State Buckeyes, Dallas Cowboys, and Cleveland Cavaliers. Whether in victory or defeat, Brenda's spirit remained true to her teams.
In her quiet moments, Brenda found solace in crossword puzzles and the challenge of a solitaire. If Brenda was not cheering on her teams, completing her crosswords, or playing solitaire, you could find her watching the ID Channel.
Brenda's deep love for animals was evident in her affection for her cherished cats. Brenda's devotion to her furry friends exemplified the kindness and compassion she displayed to all beings.
Above all, Brenda found tremendous joy in her roles as a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a doting grandmother. Her nurturing nature and unwavering support created a strong foundation of love and warmth within her family. She embraced her role with boundless love, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her children and grandchildren. From family gatherings to silly moments shared, Brenda's love and laughter filled the room, creating cherished memories that will endure for a lifetime.
In addition to her mother, Brenda's spirit will forever be remembered, and her legacy cherished by her surviving children: Gary (Jessi) Staton Jr. of Galion, Shelly (Frank) Featherston of Galion, and Justin (Amanda) Staton of Galion. She will also be greatly missed by her nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren whose lives were touched by her unwavering love and affection. Brenda also leaves behind four brothers, and two sisters.
The Staton family will hold a celebration of Brenda's life to be announced at a later date. Brenda will be reunited with her husband Gary, at Fairview Cemetery in Delaware.
