Carl Eugene Eicher

Carl E. Eicher, 77, of Crestline passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Avita Ontario Hospital.

Carl was born in Crestline on May 24, 1943 to the late Earl and Rella (Hoffman) Eicher. He married Mary L. (Simmermacher) Eicher on June 6, 1964, and she survives him in Crestline.

Carl was a good-hearted man, the type that would do anything for you. He served his country in the United States Army, from 1966 to 1968 as an amphibius vehicle operator. Carl was a member of the VFW Post 2920, Crestline. He enjoyed riding his scooter and sitting on the porch soaking in the animals. Carl was an avid animal lover, especially cats and peacocks. His favorite past time was spending time with this beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by his two sons, Tim (Tammy) Eicher, Galion; Paul (Marie) Eicher, Mansfield; his six grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Macy, Drake, Seth and Philip; his two great-grandchildren; Weston and Mariah; his brother Richard Eicher; Crestline and his sister Irene Lee, Kentucky.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Eicher.

Friends may call on Friday, November 13, 2020, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Cemetery.

In accordance with the Governor’s mandate, masks will now be required to enter the funeral home.
