Carl Pritchard Damron, 92, of Galion, made it to his eternal home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Born in Tram, KY on September 16, 1931, to the parents of Jack and Virgie (Goble) Damron.
Carl married the love of his life, the late Patricia (Patton) Damron on March 28, during which they spent 68 wonderful years together.
Carl dedicated his career to General Motors from which he retired after 30 years. Prior to his employment with General Motors, Carl proudly served our country in the United Sates Army from 1948 until 1952. He was a man of simple pleasures - finding joy in the little things in life. A man of good faith, he was a member of Real Life Nazarene, formerly known as Galion First Church of the Nazarene, where he found great purpose.
In his younger years, Carl had a passion for golfing and traveling. He adored embarking on bus trips across the country, cherishing the sights and experiences along the way. An avid lover of good food, Carl's eyes would light up when enjoying a meal at Red Lobster or savoring fried chicken while washing it down with a refreshing grape pop.
As a beloved member of his community in Galion, Carl found happiness in sitting on his front porch, sharing stories with neighbors. His warm and friendly nature made him a cherished friend to many.
Carl is survived by his children; Vickie Adams of Galion, Carla (Edward) Enderle of Galion, David (Honalee) Pooley of Savannah, GA, grandchildren; Aaron and Nathan Adams, Heather Enderle, Matthew (Jillian) Enderle, Stephanie and Jenni Damron, and great-grandchildren; Austin, Nick, Owen, Brailyn, Micah, Jacob, Marley, Cohen, Ethan, Anthony, Juliette, Traxler, Rylee, Kylie, Landyn, Weston, Lydia, Quinton, Bryson and Brevyn; and great-great grandson, Tate, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
Along with Carl’s parents and wife he is preceded in death by siblings; Mazie Patrick, Wayne Damron, Artelia Conley, Willis Damron, Ermon Damron, and Latt Damron, son, Ronnie Damron, his son-in-law, Brady Adams, his daughter-in-law, Shelly Damron, and grandchild, Eric Adams.
Carl's love for life and the simple joys will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him. In honoring his memory, let us come together to celebrate the life of a man who found happiness in the little things. Your presence at the services would be warmly welcomed as we bid farewell to Carl with love and gratitude. May he rest in peace.
