Obituary for Catherine "Cathy" Marie Switzer
Catherine "Cathy" Marie Switzer, 61, of Crestline, passed away on April 26, 2025, at OSU Wexner Center.
Catherine was born on December 12, 1963, to the late Jerry and Sharon (Peterson) Holden. She married her husband, Mark Switzer, on December 11, 2000, and he survives her in Crestline.
Catherine was a devoted caregiver, known for her unwavering dedication to those around her. She loved the Lord and found joy in sharing her faith with others. A passionate cook, she delighted family and friends with her renowned Mexican enchiladas, which will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of tasting them.
Catherine cherished the great outdoors and spent her free time exploring nature's beauty. She found solace in listening to Christian music, which served as both an inspiration and comfort throughout her life. Ever the learner, Catherine embraced new experiences with an open heart and mind, enriching her life and the lives of those around her.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Mark H. Switzer, her daughters Ashley and Desiree, her stepchildren, Sara Dosio and Ashley Blunt, her sisters, Laurie and Belinda, and her grandchildren, Caitlyn Robinson and Jade Wynn.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her son, Wesley D. Miller.
A celebration of life will be held at Mark Switzer's residence, on Saturday, May 3, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at 632 Westwood Ave, Galion.
