Charles "Bud" Eugene Snyder

Charles "Bud" Eugene Snyder, 83, of Crestline, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021, in Country View of Sunbury Nursing Home, Sunbury, Ohio.

Bud was born in Crestline, on August 29, 1938, to the late Richard Snyder and Ruth (Bauer) Schelk. He married Patty Sue (Cope) Snyder on December 23, 1984, and she preceded him in death on December 16, 2019.

Bud graduated from Crestline High School, Class of 1956. He received his bachelor's degree from Bluffton University, Bluffton, Ohio. He then attended Miami University in Miami, Ohio, to obtain his master's degree in Education. Bud's career in education lasted for thirty years. He was Assistant Principal at Crestline High School, from 1965 to 1970 and a High School Principal at New Riegel High School from 1970 to 1979. Bud was the varsity basketball coach at both high schools. In addition to his career as a teacher and coach, Bud had a real estate business. He was the President of the Tiffin Board of Realtors, and past President of the Tiffin Rotary Club. Bud was inducted into the Crestline Athletic Hall of Fame in 2015.

Bud is survived by the mother of his children, Grace (Morton) Snyder, his children; Marcia Williams, Westerville; Steven (Renata) Snyder, Westerville; Krista Houston, Westerville; Eric (Lori) Snyder, Ft. Wayne, IN; his stepchildren; Kimberly Kaufman, Mansfield; Mark (Kathy) Kaufman, Tiffin; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
