Cynthia Ora Bowlin, 60, of Galion, went home to be with her savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Altercare Nursing Home in Bucyrus. Cindy was born on May 8, 1964, in Crestline Ohio, to the late Gerald (Deanna) Harris. On August 19, 1982, Cindy married the love of her life Steve Bowlin of Galion who survives her still today.
Cindy was the most amazing wife, mom, grandma/ mamaw, and dog mom anyone could ask for. Cindy loved her family above all, however, her frogs, fishing, gardening, caring for her family, home, cooking, her puppy Dozer, working in the garage with Steve, sewing or using duct tape, super glue, or any means necessary to fix anything. Cindy's greatest pride and joy was her grandbabies.
In addition to her husband, Cindy is survived by daughters; Brandi (Chris) Blanton, of Galion, Stephanie (Josh) Baer of Mt. Gilead, and Tanya (Nick Sullivan) Bowlin of Mt. Gilead, grandchildren, Shelby, Alivia, Avery, Hayden, Danika, Brantley, and Rilyn, siblings, Tonya (Bryan) Yeater of Johnsville. Tamara (Verlon) Dowell of Galion, Jim (Shannon) Baker of Lexington, Kenny J (Peter) Baker of Charlotte NC, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her parents and in-laws, Cindy was preceded in death by her bonus father Kenneth Baker and brother Brian Harris.
Friends may call on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 2:00pm – 5:00pm at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ; 7197 Co Rd 46, Mt Gilead. A celebration of Cindy’s life will begin immediately at 5:00pm with Pastor Jack Kegley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to LifeWise Academy of Morrow County.
