Daisy Violet (Vaughan) Cox

Daisy Violet Cox, 94, of Bucyrus passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Heartland of Bucyrus.

Daisy was born in Crestline, on September 2, 1926 to the late Ernest and Myrtle (Hancock) Vaughan. On December 14, 1946 she married Donald Cox, and he preceded her in death on January 5, 2008.

Daisy was a 1944 graduate of North Robinson High School. She enjoyed keeping busy by doing word searches and crocheting. Daisy never missed her afternoon soap operas, and in her younger years she loved to go bowling.

Left to cherish her memories are her two children; Jim (Judy) Cox of Sidney, and Dottie Berry of Galion; Sister; Dorothy Dyer of Galion; Son-in-law; Floyd Emory of Bucyrus; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Daisy was preceded in death by four children; Fred Cox, Donnatt Emory, Linda Cox, and Beverly Tuttle; Siblings; Ernest "Ernie" Vaughan, Josephine Beach and Betty McKee and a Son-in-law; Randy Berry.

Friends and family may call on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home; 303 Portland Way North in Galion. The funeral service will be immediately following. Daisy and her husband Donald will be buried in Dayton National Cemetery at a later date.
