Deanna Marlene Baker, 78, of Galion passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at her home.
She was born on September 28, 1942 in Somerset, Kentucky to the late Marlin Haynes and Zelma (Barnes) Hale and Stepfather Carroll Hale. On March 15, 1986 she married Kenneth Baker, and he survives in Galion.
Deanna was a family woman, who loved spoiling her grandchildren and sending them home. She also enjoyed reading cookbooks.
In addition to her husband, Deanna is survived by her five children; Tamra (Verlon) Dowell of Galion, James (Shannon) Baker of Lexington, Cynthia (Steve) Bowlin of Galion, Ken Baker (Pete McElearney) of Charlotte, South Carolina, and Tonya (Bryan) Yeater of Lexington; six siblings; Loretta (William) Reynolds of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Vicky (Dale) Sallee of Crestline, Nathan (Karen) Hale of Crestline, Mary Hale of Crestline, and Milton Hale of Crestline; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and stepfather, Deanna was preceded in death by three siblings; Charlotte Barler, Anna Shannon, and Layton Hale and one son, Brian Harris.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North, Galion. The service will be immediately following with Pastor Jack Kegley officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
