Donna Kay Bauer, age 74, of Crestline died Friday Feb. 19, 2021 at the OhioHealth Hospital in Shelby. She was born July 7, 1946 in Galion to the late Donald E. and Dorothy E. (Newhon) Shipman.
Donna was a graduate of Colonel Crawford High School. She was a school bus driver for the Crestline Schools for 25 years and adored all of her “bus kids.” She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Crestline.
Donna was devoted to her family and her grandchildren were the “center of her life.” Her grandchildren affectionately called her “Ebe.” Donna enjoyed her Westies, Maxi and Madi.
On Oct. 1, 1963, Donna married Ned E. Bauer and he survives. She is also survived by her children; Lori (Ron DeLollis) Fetter of Stow and Wendy (Dan) Urquidez of Yuma, AZ; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Gene (Sandy) Shipman of Clearwater, FL, Ron (Roxanne) Shipman of Sulphur Springs, Doyle (Martha) Shipman of Beaver Creek, and David Shipman of Grove City.
Friends may call on Tuesday Feb. 23, 2021 from 3:00 until 5:00PM at the Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 W. Main St. in Crestline. A private funeral service will be observed with Dr. Rick McCartney of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Donna will be buried in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
In accordance with the Governor’s mandate, masks will now be required to enter the funeral home.
