Donna James Obituary
Donna J. James, 67, of Galion, died Saturday, December 8, 2018 at her home after an illness.
Donna was born in Galion on April 7, 1951 to the late Donald O. and Loretta O. (Parker) James.
Donna graduated from Northmor High School in 1969. She retired from Rolls Royce and had previously worked many years at the former Iron Works in Galion. The leader of many rock and roll bands, Donna was a talented singer and guitar player. She shared her talents with her nieces and nephews by teaching them how to sing and play the guitar. Donna always made time for her family and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her wife, Kay Ferraro; her stepson Travis Ferraro; and her sisters, Sue Miller and Barbara Chambers. Donna is survived by her many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way N., Galion. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery, Iberia. Memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice of Marion, 1713 Marion Mt. Gilead Dr. Ste 107, Marion, OH 43302.
