Dora Emmajean Cooper, 65, of Iberia, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.
Dora was born in Hamlin, West Virginia on February 11, 1956 to the late Leonard "Buddy" and Rose (Chaney) McCoy. On December 16, 1972, Dora married Roger Cooper Sr., and he survives in Iberia.
Dora worked at Graphic Packaging for 38 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Victory Center Church in Marion. Dora enjoyed being outside, fishing and tending to her flowers. She loved to fill her bird feeders so that the birds and squirrels would not go hungry.
In addition to her husband, Dora is survived by her two sons; Roger (June) Cooper Jr., of Iberia, and James Cooper of Iberia; two brothers; Darrel (Thersa) McCoy of Marion, and Robert (Patty) McCoy of Lincoln Co. WV.; two grandchildren; Joyceanna Cooper and Roger Cooper III; and a nephew; Darrel McCoy Jr.
In addition to her parents, Dora was preceded in death by her daughter; Diana Cooper; grandson; Cameron Bateman, and sister; Joann McCoy-Estep.
Friends may call on Monday, July 12, 2021, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home; 303 Portland Way North, Galion. The funeral service will be immediately following with Deacon Doral Sharp officiating. Burial will follow at Iberia Cemetery.
