Doris Wanda Collins, 88, of Crestline, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at the Crestline Nursing Home.
Doris was born in Mousie, Kentucky, on November 17, 1932, to the late Curtis and Minnie (Wicker) Triplett. She married her husband, Carlos Collins, and he preceded her in death on March 17, 1990.
Doris graduated from Hindman High School, in Hindman Kentucky, Class of 1950. While raising her two daughters, Doris worked over fifteen years as a Home Health Aide at the former HomeCare Matters, in Galion. She enjoyed baking pies, cooking, gardening, crocheting and being a wonderful mother to her family. Doris looked forward to playing BINGO at the nursing home. The time she cherished most was spent surrounded by her family.
Doris is survived by her two daughters; Sherry (Larry) Winch; Tammy (John) Hatfield, both of Crestline; seven grandchildren; Nyoka Fauser, Rhonda (James) Winks, Tascha (Matt) Livengood, Zachary (Elizabeth) Hatfield, Michael (Marie) Hatfield, Megan (Kevin) Phillips, Rachael (Hastings) Robinette; sixteen great-grandchildren; her four sisters, Janice Feister, Sarasota, Florida; Rochella (John) Summers, Sun City, Arizona; Rosella (Dave) Leety, Glenwood Springs, Colorado; and Flossie Kaple, Dover, OH; her brother-in-law, Morrell Collins, St. Mary, OH, and sister-in-law, Marcella Osterreicher, Belleview, Florida.
In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Tom Kaple.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 10:00 AM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
