On August 15, 2021, Dorma Lee (Williams) Lilly excitedly left this earth and burst through Heaven's gates joining Jesus and all of her loved ones waiting to welcome her home.
On October 23, 1935, she was born to the late Rockford and Carmen (Maynor) Williams in Clear Creek, WV. Also preceding her in death were her in-laws Garnet and Les Lilly, sister, Dixie, son-in-law, Bill, great-granddaughter Levi, and many other precious family members.
Dorma leaves her devoted husband and love of her life, George L. Lilly, whom she married at age 17. She and George celebrated 68 years of marriage together on July 2nd.
They raised 3 daughters; Debra (Mike) Woody, Monica (Bill, deceased) White, and Vanessa (Steve) Gardner, along with 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
At 85 years old, Dorma still had a sense of adventure and a zest for life that was contagious. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, her favorite color was red and her greatest joy was spending time with her ever growing family.
Dorma had many battles in her lifetime and a lot of health challenges, the family was constantly amazed and in awe of the way she handled it all with grace and her faith in God. Her life reflected God's love to all those who met her as she asked them "Do you know Jesus Christ as your Savior?"
Her favorite verse of scripture was Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." and she lived that strong legacy of faith in God.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 18th from 1:00 to 3:00pm at Mark A Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home; 223 W. Main St., Crestline. A celebration of Dorma's life will be immediately following with son-in-law Mike Woody officiating. A private family burial will take place at Crawford County Memory Gardens.
