Duane Arthur Lee

Duane Arthur Lee, 82, passed away on May 26, 2023, in Crestline.

Duane was born in Norwalk on March 5, 1941, to Rev. Donal and Fern (Sees) Lee. He married Doris Healea on July 25, 1965, and they spent 55 years of marriage together before her passing on February 6, 2021.

Duane served in the U. S. Army for 11 years. He served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After his time in the military, Duane worked at The Ohio Reformatory, where he retired from. Following in his father's footsteps, Duane was a dedicated minister for 45 years. Recently he attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Bucyrus. Duane was most happy when attending church and spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid reader. Duane and Doris served the community providing foster care for many children throughout the span of 22 years.

Duane is survived by daughters Lisa (Ron) Hall of Crestline; and Lori (Scott) Fintel of Forest; son Bryan (Wendy) Lee of Bucyrus; 7 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren; and brother Rev. George (Trudie) Lee.

Along with Duane's parents and wife he is preceded in death by his sister Ora Jane Hickman.

Friends may call on Saturday June 3, 2023, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Mark A. Schneider - Gompf Funeral Home 223 West Main Street, Crestline, OH. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with brother Rev. George Lee officiating and daughter, Lisa Hall. A burial will follow in Bryn Zion Cemetery Mt. Gilead.
