Edith B. Whited, 83, of Galion passed away on September 9, 2021, at Altercare Integrated Health Services in Bucyrus.
Edith was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on January 26, 1938, to James Francis and Pearl (Partlow) Beach. She married Harold M. Whited, Sr. on August 11, 1956 and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2020.
Edith worked many jobs including Swan Rubber, Fleetwood and then retiring from the Galion Community Hospital as an Aid in 1980. Edith enjoyed playing cards and working on hidden word puzzles. She was an avid animal lover but adored her special dog, "Misty Blue" her cocker spaniel. You would often find Edith watching television where she had on old movies or westerns. Edith's family meant the world to her and she loved being with them as often as possible. Edith had a passion for being in the kitchen and was famous for her chili and red velvet cakes with special icing.
Edith is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Donald) Treisch of Galion; her sons, Arch (Deb) Whited, Jr. of Galion, Tim (Dori) Whited of Crestline; grandchildren, Chris (Crystal) Campbell, Shaun Campbell, Nick Whited, Timmy (Shawna) Whited, Seth Whited, Heather Kessler, Joe (Lisa) Perry; her great-grandchildren, Raygann Campbell, Cecilia Campbell, Sydni Phillips, Cohen Phillips, Mila Hrebon; her siblings, Charlene Markley of Bucyrus, Sharon (Bud) Miller of Bucyrus, Judy Theil of Bucyrus, Dave Beach of Texas; step-brother, Huey Long; close friends, Cathy Whited and Karen Conley.
In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was preceded in death by her step-mother, Ann Francis; step-father, Clair Beach; sister, Carol Cox; brothers, Jimmy Francis and Bill (Kay) Francis; brother-in-laws, Mike Markley and Ricky Cox; step-sisters, Pat Riddlebarger of Bucyrus and Alice (Steve) Ashwell.
