Ellen "Eileen" Mabee, 88, passed away on February 21, 2022 at Solaris Senior Living in Naples, Florida.
Eileen was born in Cumberland, Maryland on March 27, 1933, to the late William and Kathryn (Baker) Ort. She married Stanley Mabee on October 30, 1953, and he preceded her in death on October 5, 2014.
After graduating from high school, Eileen attended and graduated from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and went on to be a Registered Nurse at Mansfield General Hospital (MedCentral), and Crestline's Hospital and Nursing Home. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Crestline. Eileen enjoyed spending time sailing on Lake Erie and spending winters in Florida with Stan during their 60 years of marriage, but mostly she loved being with family and friends wherever they were and playing games. Eileen was very proud of her family and the legacy she and Stan had built.
Eileen is survived by: son William Mabee, Naples, Florida; daughter Diane (Larry) Newberry; Naples, Florida; daughter Susan Mabee (Bob Ivancso), Napoleon, Ohio; 7 grandchildren: Ellen Bee (Floyd) Newberry Yarnell; Michael (Susi) DeMichiei; Mariel (Kevin) Perkins; Samantha Mabee; Erica Newberry; Alison (Christopher Hill) Mabee; Matthew (Mary) DeMichiei; 12 great-grandchildren: Bailey Yarnell; Zachary Yarnell; Damien DeMichiei; Noah Perkins; Warren Yarnell; Zara Perkins; Lydia Mabee; Henning Yarnell; Evan DeMichiei; Mina Perkins; Finn DeMichiei; Maddox DeMichiei; and, brother Donald (June) Ort, Dallas, Texas; sister Kaye Wolfarth, Naples; brother Raymond (Fern Brereton) Ort, Naples; nieces and nephews. And special rescue companion, Tiny.
A memorial service for family and friends with Pastor Diana Seaman officiating is planned at Trinity Lutheran followed by interment at Crawford County Memory Gardens on March 19, 2022, at 10:00 am.
