Elizabeth Marie (Solinger) Walterhus

Elizabeth Marie Walterhus, 66 of Crestline, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023, at her home.

Elizabeth was born in Crestline, Ohio on November 19, 1956. She was the daughter of Charles and Waneta (Shull) Solinger. Elizabeth enjoyed life with her partner, Ted Clary, whom she shared the last 18 years with before his passing in July of 2022.

Elizabeth was a Crestline graduate, Class of 1975. After high school, she attended Mid-Ohio Nursing School. Elizabeth would go on to work as a nurse for Crestline Nursing Home for 12 years. She was a member of Faith Community Church in Crestline where she was always willing to pitch in a helping hand. Elizabeth was a caring person who would always help those in need, especially the stray animals that she came in contact with. She also took pride in the many hours she spent gardening.

Left to cherish Elizabeth's memories are her daughters; Jennifer (Bobby Monaco) Walterhus of Bucyrus and Mary Walterhus of St. Augustine, FL and her grandchildren; Braxton and Justice Monaco.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Waneta Solinger and her partner, Ted Clary.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 10:30am at Faith Community Church, 327 E. Main St., Crestline, OH 44827, with Pastor Bill Fox officiating.
