Ella May Page of Crestline passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Magnolia Terrace, at the age of 101 years.
Ella May was born on January 6, 1924, in Shadyside, Ohio, to the late Charles and Laureda (Gress) Monahan. At the tender age of 22, she married Lloyd Llewellyn (Lew) Page on April 20, 1946, and they spent the next 55 years together in love until his passing on August 12, 2001. She was a longstanding member of First English Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was active in several women’s organizations. Later she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Crestline, where she fostered lasting friendships and enjoyed being a part of the church community.
Ella May worked as a beautician early in her life, was an avid reader and took up china painting in her later years. She worked for many years at the Crestline Public Library, where she enjoyed helping with children’s story hour, passing down her joy of reading to new generations. She enjoyed spending time patiently painting beautiful floral designs on ceramics, which she would lovingly fire in her basement kiln and gift to friends and family.
Ella May is survived by her son, Dan (Judith) Page of New York, NY; her grandchildren, Jamie (Jonathan O'Shea) Page, David (Kiyosha) Yorio, and Courtney (Justin) Akai; and her sister, Marilyn Hughes. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Norman and Jerry Monahan.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crawford County Road 330, Crestline, Ohio.
