Ervin G. Bennett Jr, 51, of Galion, passed away, just three days shy of his 52nd birthday, Saturday May 18, 2024, in the Ohio Health Hospital, Mansfield. Ervin was born May 21, 1972, to the parent's deceased father, Ervin G. Bennett, Sr. and surviving mother, Betty (Simmermacher) Bennett-Steffey
Ervin was a Galion High School graduate, Class of 1990, and a dedicated factory worker at HTI. He previously worked for multiple landscaping companies with led to his love for the outdoors. An outdoorsman at heart, Ervin found solace and joy in spending his days fishing, hunting, working on cars, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life with his cherished family and friends. His passion for nature and camaraderie was evident in the way he embraced each moment with genuine enthusiasm and a warm smile.
While we mourn the loss of Ervin, let us also celebrate the life he lived and the memories he created. Ervin's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him, a testament to the kindness and joy he brought to this world. May he find eternal peace in the heavens above, surrounded by the beauty of nature he so dearly cherished.
Along with his mother, left to cherish Ervin's memories are brothers; Steven Bennett, Patrick (Lauren) Bennett, Sr.; numerous nephews and nieces; Patrick Bennett, Jr., Gunnar Bennett, Calleigh Bennett, Destinee Napier; great-niece, Isabella Napier; grandma Lena Bennett, aunt; Judy Ball, uncles; Edgar "Peanut" Bennett, Wayne Simmermacher, other sisters and brothers; Emma Ball, Jim Ball, Ed (Bridget) Ball, Ashley Ball and Phyllis Foust.
In addition to his father, Ervin is preceded in death by grandparents; Edgar Bennett, William A. Simmermacher Sr., and Hester D. Simmermacher and his uncle, William A. Simmermacher Jr.
