Gayle Ragan Obituary

Gayle Marilyn Ragan, 72 of Galion, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Avita Hospital in Bucyrus.

Gayle was born on December 4, 1949 in Mansfield, Ohio to the late Gerald and Marilyn "Kit" (Green) Wyatt.

Gayle graduated in 1968 from Mansfield Senior High School and had several years of college. She worked for Mansfield General Hospital as an x-ray tech, for a physician in Beverly Hills, as well as Columbus, OH and last worked for Huntington Bank in Columbus as a Computer Operator II and retired from there. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and a member of the Sisters in Fellowship group in the church and was a wonderful addition to that mission.

Gayle loved to do needlework and she made hundreds of beautiful creations for family and friends. Gayle was known as the card sending queen as she never forgot a birthday, holiday or "thinking of you" of any family member or friend of hers. She also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and reading in her spare time. She lived a beautiful life of pure interest and love for every religion and culture. She studied each one with the open mind and soul she possessed. She loved and accepted everyone and that is her legacy.

Gayle is survived by her sister, Jackie (Jack) Dabney of Galion; sister-in-law, Jody Wyatt-McClelland of Bellville; two nieces; Shannon Miller and Erin Roberts (Scott); nephew, Joseph Bertka; and two great-nieces; Chelsy and Payton Roberts all of Shelby. She also had numerous extended nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews of the heart.

In addition to her parents, Gayle was preceded in death by her brother, Don R. Wyatt.
