George Thomas Jones

George Thomas Jones, 89 of Lucas passed away on February 21, 2022 at his home.

He was born on December 14, 1932 to the late Chester and Mary (Earnest) Jones. In August of 1956 he married Marlyce Osland and she preceded him in death on July 26, 2015.

George was Crestline High School graduate, Class of 1950. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University. George proudly served our country in the United States Navy from 1952 until 1956. He was the Vice President of Ship Control Systems for Boeing, previously known as Rockwell International. George was a member of the Mid-Ohio Bicycle Club. He enjoyed traveling and working out. In his spare time, George loved to sit and read a good book. The moments he cherished most were those spent with his grandchildren.

George is survived by his children; Andrea (Benjamin) Davis of Saratoga Springs, UT and Stephen (Debi) Jones of Lucas, TX; sister, Martha Fletcher of Delphos; grandchildren; Cole Davis, Jared (Heather) Davis, Alexa Davis and Connor Jones; and great grandchild; Jaiyana Davis.

In addition to his parents and wife, George was preceded in death by his siblings, Chester and Ernest Jones and Marjorie Fletcher.
