Glenn Crabbe Obituary

Glenn Michael Crabbe, 50, passed away on February 20, 2020 in Powell, OH.

Glenn was born in Mansfield, OH on January 10, 1970 to Glenn H. Crabbe of Mansfield and Nancy C. (Bailey) Crabbe of Ontario. He married Leslie A. (Motes) Crabbe on December 1, 1996.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 23 years, Leslie Crabbe, his two sons, Steffen Crabbe (17) and Rowan Crabbe (15). He is also survived by his parents, Nancy Crabbe of Ontario, OH and Glenn Crabbe of Mansfield, as well as his sisters, Kim Jezik (Joe) of Crestline, OH and Julie Crabbe of Mansfield, OH, nephews, Joey Jezik, Michael Crabbe, nieces, Katarina and Sam Jezik, Alaina Crabbe, and Richelle Crabbe, and great nephews Wyatt Crabbe and great nieces, Gwen Jezik, Amelia Keogh and Evalina Jezik.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Crabbe.

Glenn graduated from Crestline High School, Class of 1988 and was the class Valedictorian. He then went on to the US Naval Academy, Class of 1992 and finished his education at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Class of 2005.

Glenn was commissioned to the US Naval Academy, where he completed his studies and went on to flight school, eventually fulfilling his dream of flying F/A-18 Hornets. He left his naval career as a Lt. Commander and pursued a career in finance, starting with obtaining his MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business in 2005. Glenn worked in finance and real estate investments for 15 years.

Glenn was an avid golfer, huge fan of THE Ohio State Buckeyes and an amazing writer of poetry. Glenn meant a great deal to many, mentoring flight students in the military, leading many pilots to safe carrier landings as an LSO officer, and even mentoring fellow Tuck students during his 2 years of schooling there. In the investment world, he was revered as a brilliant mind by several of his peers. As a father, Glenn coached little league for both of his sons for several years and made it to every football game or track meet that he could. Glenn made friends wherever he went and remained loyal to them at all times. You always wanted to be on his team for trivia or Euchre. His smile and laugh will be forever remembered.
