Grover Lee Reynolds, 89, of Crestline, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.
Grover was born on May 26, 1932, in Olive Hill, Kentucky to the late Roy and Anzona (Holbrook) Reynolds. On February 2, 1955, Grover married Martha Barker and she preceded him in death on February 1, 1999.
Grover served his country honorably in the United States Army. After his time in the service, Grover worked at Peabody in Galion for 39 years until his retirement. Grover enjoyed the simple things in life, like spending his time outdoors, whether it be tending to his garden or animals, or spending the day hunting or fishing with his friends and family. He was known locally for his freshly picked sweet corn and his “ponderosa pork”. No matter where you saw Grover, he was bound to have a smile on his face, and a kind word to say. Grover never met a stranger and was often the life of the party. He was a staple of the Colonel Crawford High School football and basketball games and would always support the school in any way he could. Above all else, Grover was a family man, who cherished the moments spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memories are his four children; Deb (Ron) Schroeder of Crestline, Randy Reynolds of Sulphur Springs, John (Laurie) Reynolds of Bucyrus, and Darla (Chuck) Studer of Crestline; three siblings; Helen Bear of Olive Hill, KY., Lenora Moore of Wurtland, KY., and Ron Reynolds of Olive Hill, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; Tiffany, Nicholas, Jaclyn, Jarrod, Tonya, Travis, Kailey, Kristen, Kerri, Olivia, Katrina, Jonah, and Isaiah; and 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way.
In addition to his parents and wife, Grover was preceded in death by six siblings: Viola Reynolds, Garnet Reynolds, Juanita Binion, Mollie Winters, Bill Reynolds, and Glendel Reynolds.
