Helen Lucile (Garverick) Crissinger

Helen Lucile Crissinger, 97 of Crestline, passed away after an extended illness on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in her home surrounded by family.

Helen was born on March 18, 1923 to the late Guy and Mabel (Smith) Garverick. She married “Bill” Crissinger on September 6, 1941 and he preceded her in death on February 22, 2002.

Left to cherish Helen’s memories are her children; Richard Crissinger of Greenville, Carol Jean Wood of Spokane, WA, and Sandra (Jerry) King of Galion; her siblings; Arden (Beverly) Garverick of Galion and Dean Garverick of St. Petersburg, FL; sister-in-law, Betty Garverick of Iberia; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Helen is preceded in death by her sisters; Jenny Rinehart, Belva Marckman, and Donna Garverick; her brothers Alfred and Robert Garverick; her daughter-in-law, Joan Crissinger; her son-in-law, Bill Wood; and her grandsons Steve Wood and Rick King.

Friends may call on Thursday Jan. 21, 2021 from 10:00AM until the start of the funeral service at 11:00AM at Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home; 223 West Main St, Crestline. Pastor Diane Thomas will officiate and the burial will follow the service at Crawford County Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary United Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.
