Henry F. Stowers, age 82, of Galion and a former Pataskala resident died at his home on Saturday Jan. 16, 2021. He was born April 18, 1938 in Portsmouth, VA. To the late Harry F. and Margaret E. (Gray) Stowers.
Henry served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and was retired after working for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years. Henry was a homebody, but enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, solitaire, and sudoku. He had been an active member of the Hosanna Lutheran Church and the Whitehall V.F.W.
On Aug. 27, 1961 in Columbus, Henry married the former Saundra Lee Price and she preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister Doris McKinney.
Survivors include two sons; Robert (Kim) Stowers of Mason and Michael (Tish) Stowers of Galion; grandchildren; Nicole (Jay), Amber, Garrett, Grant, Madison, Evan, Griffin, and Ava; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Sawyer; and brother-in-law Dave McKinney.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday Jan. 20, 2021 at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brownsville at 11:00 AM. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force.
