Jackie "Jack" Lee Reeder

Jackie "Jack" Lee Reeder, 81, of Galion passed from this life surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Jack was born in Soldier, Kentucky to the late Arthur and Bessie (Bradley) Reeder.

On September 1, 1993, Jack would marry Betty Miller and they would share 25 years of loving marriage before her passing on January 15, 2019.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Jack exemplified the American spirit. Following his time in the service, Jack was a hard man to track down, as he was always on the open road in his truck, hauling his next load to far away destinations.

Throughout his life, Jack was known for his happy-go-lucky nature and his willingness to help anyone in need. He had a passion for creativity, often seen engrossed in paint by number projects or solving intricate puzzles. His inquisitive nature extended to tinkering with various gadgets and machinery, always eager to learn and discover new things, even if not always successful in his endeavors.

Left to cherish Jack's memories are his grandchildren: Kevin (Vickie) Johnson of Galion, Bryan (Candice) Johnson of Galion, and Sierra Johnson of Virginia; great-grandchildren: Taylor (Rachel) Johnson, Devin Johnson, Chelsee Johnson, and Damien Johnson, and brother: Lloyd Reeder.

In addition to his parents, and wife Betty, Jack was welcomed home by his daughters: Martha Johnson, Brenda Johnson, and Barbara Johnson; brothers: Charles Reeder, James Reeder, Billy Reeder, and sister: Geraldine Burton.

Friends may call on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home; 303 Portland Way North, Galion. The funeral service will begin immediately following visitation with Celebrant LeAnne Gompf officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
