Johnny Thomas Stone, 69, of Crestline, passed away on March 22, 2021 at home, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Johnny was born in Portsmouth, OH on November 17, 1951 to the late John and Lucy (Howard) Stone. He married Emily (Shepherd) Stone on December 5, 1969 and she survives him in Crestline.
Johnny was a community member of the AMVETS, Post #31, Ontario. He worked 35 years for General Motors until his retirement. Johnny loved any outdoor activity including, camping, hunting, and playing horseshoes. He owned a pontoon boat and would spend many hours there fishing. Johnny loved his family very much.
In addition to his wife, Johnny is survived by his son, Johnny Stone; daughter Jennifer (Keith) Hall; his five grandchildren; Katelyn (TJ) Slayton; Jasmine (Aaron) Grosch; Kacie (Dalton) Lykins; Hayley Robertson; Destiny Hall; and ten great-grandchildren; his siblings, Duane (Mary) Stone, Galion; Pam (Gary) Best, Mansfield; and Mike Stone.
Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 W. Main St., Crestline with Pastor Monty Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
In accordance with the Governor's mandate, face coverings will now be required to enter the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
