Judy Whited Obituary

Judy Lee Whited, 77, of Galion passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at her home with her loving husband by her side. She was born on January 20, 1944 in Galion to the late Gerald and Helen (Shawber) Holzwarth.

On November 9, 1963 Judy married Charlie Whited and they spent 57 years of marriage together before her passing.

Judy was a 1962 graduate of Iberia High School and attended St. Paul United Methodist Church. She was a caring soul, who knew no stranger, and enjoyed helping others in need. Judy spent her free time tending to her flowers and garden. She worked in her spare time as a self-made interior decorator, both at home and for others that needed the help. Judy was a member of the Tots and Topics Mothers Group in Galion, and the Twig Group at the Galion Hospital. In the warmer months, Judy couldn't wait to load the family up and take them camping at Lake Erie. Above all else, Judy's grandchildren were the sparkle in her eye, she would do anything to make them smile.

In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by three children; Randy (Cindy) Whited of Castalia, Rodney (Kris) Whited of Mt. Gilead, and Dustin (Regina) Whited of Galion; three siblings; Pat Loomis of Oklahoma, Jean (Larry) Bane of Galion, and Dayle (David) Ruhl of Alaska; seven grandchildren; Jacob, Megan, Noah, Gavin, Audreana, Aden, and Addison Whited; and close family friend Marcie Whited.

In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her sister Betty Jo Rowland.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church or Avita Home Health and Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
