Lanna "Lanny" Brown Obituary

Lanna "Lanny" Thomas Brown born July 21, 1952, in Galion, OH passed peacefully on to Heaven on June 10, 2022.

Born to parents Milo F. Brown and Shirley A. (Poland) Brown in Galion.

Lanny graduated from Colonel Crawford HS in 1970 and continued his education at Ohio Northern University where he was member of Alpha Sigma Phi and continues to have special brothers from this fraternity.

As he was growing up in North Robinson, he worked for his father's construction company, M.F. Brown Inc. learning and developing his skills with the equipment and the business that he would eventually own and operate for many years until his retirement.
Lanny was truly blessed with years of excellent health and ambition while enjoying his life to its fullest. He was able to provide a beautiful and peaceful homestead at Red Bird Lake where his family and friends have been blessed to gather throughout the years.

Survived by wife Jane, sons James Geyer (Pam Kalb) Bucyrus, Jason Geyer (Jennifer Gleason) Wake Forest, NC, grandchildren Elijah Geyer (Megan), Owen Geyer, Liam Geyer and Adrian Geyer. Also survived by brother James Brown (Judy) North Robinson, sisters Janet Duncan of Colorado Springs, CO, Faye Goins of North Robinson and Mary Lou Grimmer of Woodland Park, CO, brother-in-law Philip (Jill) Foster of South Bend, IN, sister-in-law, Penelope Foster of Mansfield and special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding him in death were parents Milo and Shirley, Father and Mother-in-law Arthur and Lorraine Foster, brothers-in-law Larry Foster, Dale Duncan, Doyle Goins and sister-in-law Geraldine Foster Moore.

Lanny fought the good fight (2 Timothy 4:7) and his faith enabled him to finish his race (against Multiple Sclerosis and Pancreatic Cancer) with dignity and grace. We thank God that he is now pain free, seeing his Savior Jesus Christ face-to-face, and playing catch with his faithful companions Jeffy, Barley, and Rocky.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
