Linda Yasmin (Carpenter) Legg

Linda Yasmin Legg, 73, of Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

Linda was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on April 5, 1952, to the late Edward and Margot (Rompf) Carpenter.

By chance, Linda met the love of her life, Gary Legg, a meeting that would forever change the course of her life. The two were united in marriage on November 23, 2011, and from that day forward, they shared a bond rooted in deep love and mutual devotion. Linda was truly the apple of Gary's eye, and she cared for him with a selfless and steadfast love that defined their marriage. To Linda, Gary was her one true love.

Linda possessed an energetic and unforgettable personality, paired with a kind and beautiful soul that naturally drew others to her. She had a way of lighting up a room and making those around her feel valued and welcomed.

A longtime member of the Moose Lodge and a lifetime member of the NRA, Linda found community and connection through her involvement and shared interests.
Music was one of Linda's greatest passions. An accomplished country singer, she had the unique honor of recording her music and performing at the Little Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Indiana. Through her voice and love of music, she brought joy to many and created memories that will be cherished for years to come.

In addition to her husband Gary, Linda's memories will be cherished by her sons: Chris Drake and Michael Smith; her sisters: Donna, Karen, and Kathryn; and her grandchildren.

Friends may call on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, at The Gompf Funeral Service - Crestline Chapel, 223 W. Main St., Crestline. The funeral service will begin immediately at the funeral home, with close friend, Pastor Gary Carr officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.
