Marcia Ann (Ralph) Pickering

Marcia Ann Pickering, age 66, died on Friday January 8, 2021 in the Ohio State University Medical Center. She was born July 10, 1954 in Springfield, IL. to the late James E. Ralph and Mary C. (Reiser) Jonsson.

Marcia was a graduate of Galion High School and had worked as a Staff Coordinator of Stamping at Cardington Yutaka since 1997. She was a hard worker who enjoyed bird watching and nature, music and concerts, playing cards and Sudoku. Her greatest love was her family and grandchildren, never missing a game.

On Jan. 26, 1973, Marcia married Timothy R. Pickering and he preceded her in death on May 29, 2000.

Survivors include Marcia’s children; Tolly (Brent) Bockbrader of Mt. Gilead, Nathaniel Pickering of Mt. Gilead, Haley (Josh Townsend) Johnson of Cardington, Paul Pickering of Johnsville, and Alyssa (Ryan) Nichols of Mansfield; seven grandchildren; Jason and Troy Bockbrader, Brenya Johnson, Danny Townsend, Cohen Johnson, and Taylor and Carson Pickering; siblings, Candy (Clark) Knouse of Redding, CA., Bill Ralph of Chicago, IL., Greg Ralph of Bowling Green, Dee (Tom) Yaccino of Chicago, IL., Jennifer (Mark) Leatham of Chicago, IL., and Jeff (Norma) Ralph of Havre, MT.

In addition to her parents and husband, Marcia was preceded in death by her son, Todd Pickering, granddaughter, Olivia Pickering and siblings Sandy Keener and Mic Ralph.

Friends may call on Wednesday Jan. 13, 2021 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at the Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 303 Portland Way North in Galion. The burial will take place at later date in the Iberia Cemetery.

In accordance with the Governor’s mandate, masks will now be required to enter the funeral home.
