Margaret "Peggy" J. Marshall, 87, of Crestline, passed away on September 5, 2021, at her home in Crestline.
Peggy was born in Fowler, Michigan on September 23, 1933, to the late Peter and Dorothy (Williams) Welter. She married Glen H. Marshall, Sr. on June 28, 1950, in Indiana, and he preceded her in death on October 11, 1969.
Margaret was named after grandmother, Margaret (Noonan) Williams. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, crossword puzzles, and sending birthday cards to everyone. Most of all she cherished being with her kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great grandkids. Peggy loved getting the family together for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She always had a house full of family and friends.
Peggy is survived by children; Dana (Rhonda) Marshall, Witchita, KS; Margaret Russell, Galion; Patricia Richards, Mansfield; Sharon Esno, Crestline; Glen (Carol) Marshall, Jr., Mansfield; Connie (Mike) Kelly, Crestline; Christine Marshall, Crestline; Melinda Bilger, Bloomville; twenty grandchildren; forty-one great grandchildren; fifteen great, great grandchildren, with three more on the way; and her brother, Peter Welter, Jr., Osso, MI.
In addition to her parents and husband, Peggy was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Marshall, her granddaughter, Glenda Gray, and her brother Gerald Welter.
Friends may call on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St., Crestline. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 10:00 AM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, Crestline with Pastor Hareldo Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline.
