Margaret “Diane” Kelley, 72, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at her home in Galion.
Diane was born in Galion on November 11, 1952, to the late Frances and Margaret (Jones) Sutton. On August 16, 1973, she married Max Kelley, and they would share 51 years of loving marriage before her passing.
Diane was passionate about attending estate auctions, where she enjoyed both the thrill of discovery and the joy of finding unique treasures. Her keen eye for valuable items reflected her thoughtful nature and love for history, which she often shared with friends and family.
Above all, Diane cherished the time spent with her family. She created many fond memories through family gatherings, often bringing everyone together for laughter, stories, and good times. Her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. Diane treasured these moments, and her grandchildren will remember her as a loving, caring, and devoted grandmother who always had time for them.
In addition to her husband, Diane’s memories will be cherished by her son: Max Kelley of Galion and Michelle (Stu) Evans of Galion; grandchildren: Alan and Dylan Evans; siblings: Robin (Dennis) Trimble of Columbus, and Randy Sutton of Shelbyville, TN, and special cousin: Flo Young.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her siblings: James Sutton, Ann Sutton, and Michael Sutton.
A celebration of Diane’s life will be held at the Galion Moose Lodge #303, 520 S. Market St., Galion, on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105
