Marjory Ann (Poffenbaugh) Gibson

Marjory A. Gibson, 86, of Crestline, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019, in the Crestline Nursing Home, Crestline.

Marjory was born in Crestline on June 26, 1933 to Elmer S. and Nina Mae (DeWalt) Poffenbaugh. She married Sherman Gibson on January 9, 1954 and he preceded her in death on July 10, 2000.



Marjory lived in Crestline all of her life. She was a fun-loving person who enjoyed going out to eat and shopping on QVC. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Marjory was very proud of all her grandchildren and loved spending time with them.



Marjory is survived by her son Steven (Kim) Gibson of Crestline; her daughter Victoria Mae (Demetrio)Vargas, of Arlington, TX; her grandchildren, Lisa Gibson; Lindsay (Cory) Mills; Brenda (Ernie) Duran; Victor (Zyzzyll) Vargas; great-grandchildren, Izaak Sanchez; Emma Vargas, Lily Mills; her brothers Stanley (Lelia) Poffenbaugh and James Poffenbaugh both of Crestline, and her sister-in-law, Norma Poffenbaugh, Shelby.



In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph Poffenbaugh; Floyd “Bud” Poffenbaugh; her sisters, Donna Gekler, and Dorothy Frederick.



Friends may call on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 W. Main St., Crestline. Funeral services will be held at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2019. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery.
