Norma Jean (Voorhees) Nichols

Norma Jean Nichols, 67, of Crestline, was called home by her Lord and Savior on September 7, 2021, at Avita Hospital in Galion.

Norma was born in Crestline, on August 28, 1954, to the late David and Betty (Bolin) Voorhees. She married Gary Nichols April 17, 2008, and he survives her in Crestline.

Norma was a Crestline High School graduate, Class of 1973, from the Pioneer Career & Technology Center, in Food Services. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Crestline, where she sang in the church choir. Norma was a girl scout most of her life and eventually became a Girl Scout Leader. The time she cherished the most was being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her husband, Norma is survived by her two children; Arthur (Amanda) VanOver, Shelby; Rachel VanOver, Galion; her granddaughter, Haley Estep, Mansfield; her sister, Jody (David) Burns, Stanton, MI; and her brother, David Voorhees, Bucyrus.

Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 W. Main St., Crestline, with Pastor Christopher Roplogle officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, Crestline, in care of the funeral home.
