Phyllis Jean (Carroll) Fuson

Phyllis Jean Fuson, 76, of Galion passed away on June 20, 2022, at Magnolia Terrace Assisted Living.

Phyllis was born on June 30, 1945, to the late Espy Carroll and Mary Lou (McRae) Traylor in Hartford, Alabama. She married Clayton "CD" Fuson on September 20, 1961 and preceded her in death on January 23, 2009.

Phyllis enjoyed being a homemaker and was of Baptist faith. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2920 of Crestline, Crestline Eagles Arie 859, and past President of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 10558 of Cataula, Georgia. Phyllis enjoyed puzzles, books and playing board games. Scrabble being her favorite. She held her grandchildren and great grandchildren close to her heart and enjoyed the time she spent with each one of them.

Phyllis is survived by her two sons; David Fuson of Crestline and Steve (Erika) Fuson of Galion; her brother; Pete Carroll of Columbus, Georgia; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by her son; Michael "Bruce" Fuson, and three siblings; Larry Carroll, Linda Henderson, and Terry Traylor.

Friends may call on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Mark A. Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main Street, Crestline, Ohio. The funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor Jeff Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford County Memory Gardens.
