Phyllis Nadine (Green) Gibbs

Phyllis Nadine Gibbs, 86, passed away on Tuesday March 28, 2023, at OSU Wexner Medical Center, in Columbus, OH.

Nadine was born in Muncie, IN on May 29, 1936, to the late Claude and Virgina (Hall) Green. She married Nelson Edward Gibbs on November 14, 2001.

Nadine worked as Secretary for the State of Indiana. She graduated from Muncie High School in 1954. After graduation she received her accounting degree. Nadine enjoyed many activities which include her Thursday study group with her church friends. Nadine loved and cared for many horses of which she loved watching them compete in harness racing. She also enjoyed reading mystery stories, playing games on her computer, and lastly enjoyed looking at her life through photos.

Nadine is survived by her spouse Nelson Gibbs; son, Michael Steinbarger of Galion; stepdaughter, Kandrea Dawson of Shelby; step-son, Scott Gibbs of Galion; grandchild Mary Dawson; numerous step grandchildren; brother, Richard Green of Muncie, IN; sister, Vicki Heath.

In addition to her parents, Nadine was preceded in death by her son, Darell Steinbarger, and sister, Janice Albright.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 31, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 135 North Liberty Street, Galion, Ohio with Father Paul Fahrbach officiating. A burial will follow in Attica Venice Township Cemetery.
