Randy Schwertfager Obituary

Randy D. Schwertfager 57, of Crestline, passed away on April 14, 2020 after a long illness, surrounded by family.

Randy was born in South Bend, IN on March 31, 1963 to Ramona J. (Walker) Schwertfager of Crestline and the late Larry D. Schwertfager. He married Kelley (Steinhour) Schwertfager on December 20, 1986 and she survives him.

Randy graduated from Crestline High School, Class of 1981. He was a member of the Avenue Church in Mansfield. Randy was self-employed applying his talents to home improvements. He was a problem-solver and could fix anything. Whatever Randy worked on, he could come up with a better design, even if it took him ten times longer to fix. Randy was known to be a funny guy. He enjoyed being outdoors and loved to fish. He drew numerous pencil sketches and enjoyed drawing and artwork.

In addition to his mother and wife, Randy is survived by his children; Danielle (Bryan) Ratliff, Galena, Ashleigh (Doug) Page, Bucyrus, Seth Schwertfager, Crestline; six grandchildren; Anna, Norah, Aria, Mason, Forrest, Mya, and his brother, Michael (Dorothy) Schwertfager.

Randy was preceded in death by his father Larry Schwertfager.

Due to the circumstances and in light of social distancing, the family will be scheduling a memorial service at a future date. The service date will be announced on the funeral home's website.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lowe-Volk Nature Center.
